Joggers' Club

Joggers' Club is a fitness club open to all Jaguars! We know how important movement is to keep our bodies and brains healthy, so we meet twice a week to run, walk or skip around the track and have fun. Laps are recorded on cards so all our members can see what they accomplish each year. We are always grateful to the PTA members and volunteers for the support they give to this program. Come join us!

Joggers' Club Coordinators: Mrs. Windver & Mrs. Petersen

Student Council

Jaguar Student Council represents the student voice of the school.  They are fourth and fifth grade students elected by their peers and work to help share student ideas, interests and concerns with the school wide community.  All student council members are expected to keep their grades up and have exemplary behavior.  Student Council members will be held to high standards of leadership and must be model students for others to follow.  Meetings are held after school in Room 15 twice a month with advisors Mrs. Ginnetty and Mrs. Windver.

Yearbook Crew

3-4 students are selected from each fifth grade class to help design our school yearbook. The Yearbook Crew meets Fridays after school until 3:00pm in room 5. Students who are interested in participating will attend an informational meeting in August or September to find out more (flyers are sent home with all fifth graders). The Yearbook Crew runs a cover contest for our book each year, makes decisions on layout, backgrounds, graphics, and creates each page of the book. Yearbook Crew ends around Spring Break once the yearbook proof is finalized and submitted to the publisher.

Chess Club

The Judson and Brown Chess Club is open to all third, fourth, and fifth grade students. Students of all abilities are welcome. The purpose of the club is to promote and grow the game of chess in a fun and inviting environment. Meetings are held in Room 24 on Monday mornings from 7:30 am to 8:00 am, September through the end of May. Come and play chess with us!

Robotics Club

The Judson and Brown C-STEM Robotics Club is open to fourth and fifth grade students based on teacher recommendations. The club is limited to 24 students. Using a variety of computer-based lessons and challenges, students will develop collaborative learning and teamwork skills and make meaningful connections between abstract math concepts and real-life applications. The Robotics Club meets on Thursdays from 2:15 pm to 3:00 pm in Room 15 with advisors Mrs. Fee and Mr. Zander.

Judson & Brown Singers

(AKA Chorus!)

Grades 3-5, all students welcome to join! Rehearsals each Mondays after school until 3:00PM in room 5.

We sing a variety of songs at school events such as flag ceremonies, family nights, and concerts we put on for our families. We also participate in the district choral festival held at RHS each spring, and sometimes get to perform the National Anthem at special events in the community. If you love to sing, this group is for you! Watch for signup information to come home as each school year starts (students must sign up each year to participate) or for new J&B students please see Mrs. Nowak in room 5 (email mrs.nowak.jandb@gmail.com) to join mid-year.

Color Guard

The Judson and Brown Color Guard is responsible for raising and lowering the school's United States and California State flags on a daily basis and at school assemblies. Using proper flag etiquette of handling, folding, and presentation of the colors, students show respect to our nation's most important symbol. The Judson and Brown is led by Advisor Brian Zander and is open to all Fifth Graders.

Broadcasting

The J&B Broadcast Club is a group of talented 4th and 5th grade students who create quality content for their school. They record and edit segments to be shown schoolwide each week! Students in the club work with various technologies to make their vision come to life.
